Which Way Next?

2011-Serpentine-pavilion-London-Peter-Zumthor

My architectural photography work has been recognized with an honorable mention in the Buildings – Architecture category in the Lucie Foundation’s 2013 International Photography Awards.

Taken back in 2011 at the end of a European trip (where we saw Cadel Evens win Australia’s first ever Tour de France – but that’s another story) as we lazed in Hyde park for an afternoon catching up with a friend.

Peter Zumthor had recently completed the Serpentine Pavilion for that year.  A building spun from the idea of a garden within a garden.  The enclosed garden was designed by Piet Oudolf and during my visit provided me a place of calm within a whirlwind summer trip in London.
